Welcome to OTC COLA
Otter Tail County COLA is organized to facilitate cooperation among member lake and river associations and to assist in fostering wise use of the lake and river areas in Otter Tail County. OTC COLA is encouraging participation of new lakes. The bigger the number of lakes that join together in the common cause the better it will be for all of us. OTC COLA is a non-profit organization and the cost of membership is nominal for associations and individuals.
Water quality testing of OTC lakes is an active pursuit of OTC COLA. We have compiled over 20 years of valuable data. OTC COLA encourages lakes to participate in its water testing. OTC COLA will work with new lakes through association or individual memberships to help include them in the program.

Water Sampling Schedule 2017
The water sampling schedule is set by RMB Labs for the weekend preceding and including the third Monday of each month from May through September.
Samples are to be delivered to the collection location by noon on Monday. This gives time for the volunteer to transport samples to RMB Labs at Detroit Lakes by close of business day on Monday.
On Thursday, April 20 at 5:00 pm, the water sample containers and coolers are picked up for the Lake Association at the Ottertail Community Center. A person from RMB Labs will be available to answer any questions. All who are participating are welcome to stay for the COLA Member Meeting.
For more information about the water sampling procedure, care of equipment, and water sampling results, go to the ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS page of this website.
